Dear supporters

My name is Ibrahim Yaghi, I live in Zürich in switzerland, but my family, my mother, brother, sisters and their children, live in Deir Al Balah in Gaza. At the moment more than 120 people who fled from the north, live in our house even though it has been severly damaged. Around the house many people live in tents.

Next to our house there is a groundwater well with drinking water, that also has been damaged by recent airstrikes.

We want to repair this water well and install a solar system, because gas or gasoline for the motors of the pump are not available anymore. Solar panels can still be found, and we are already in contact with a dealer. The project will be carried out by a local team of engineers under the supervision of my brother Alaa Yaghi.

What we need to achieve:

1. repair the well: repair the structural damage to ensure that clean water can be pumped.

2. Buy and install a solar system to ensure continuous operation of the water pumps

3. maintenance of the water network: repairing the pipes to prevent leaks and ensure efficient water use.

If the well could be put into operation, it could supply around 1500 people in the area with clean water, which is otherwise not available.
