THANK YOU FOR SAVING LUNAS LIFE! (Campaign closed)

This is Luna, our American Bully fur child :)

She is more than just a pet, she is literally our first kid.  We got her not long after the doctors told my wife and I that we were unable to have children due to a hormonal imbalance.  Saddened by the news, we got Luna as a small puppy to help us fill the void.  She quickly grew to be loved and raised as our first child.  Not long after that, a miracle occurred and my wife got pregnant.  We were overcome with joy! Our first daughter Lani and the dog grew an instant bond.  They are now the best of sisters and play mates! They have spent their growing years together doing tea time, dress up and playing hair salon. Luna would let this little girl do whatever she wanted to her. Dresses, wigs, shades and hats. You name it, Luna LOVED IT! Fast forward a few years and we were blessed to have another daughter. And the Three Muskateers were born!! <3 <3

We never spaded her because we wanted to breed her with another dog from the same kennel we got her from, but mating attempts has been unsuccessful.  A few months ago, Luna was experiencing heavy discharge after her heat, so we took her to the vet. The doc told us that Luna has an Open Pyometra, a serious infection of her uterus. This is common to mature female dogs that have not yet been spaded. There are two types of this kind of infection, an external kind where the infection leaks out of the body by way of heavy discharge, or the more dangerous kind: the internal infection where the discharge would never leave her body and poison her system.  Thankfully she has the kind that causes heavy discharge and exits her system. But the doctors say that this infection could spread rapidly if left untreated and risk her life, so we need to act fast.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Normally, the amount of the bill is something that we could have raised ourselves with a bit of time, but time is NOT on Luna's side. The doctors say we must arrange this surgery NOW to save her life.  This situation couldnt come at a worse time as we just put our last few dollars of savings into upgrading our new home and investments made into our business just last week. If we would have known this was going to happen we would have GLADLY used those funds to preserve our baby's life. But now we are forced to try and raise these funds the best we can in other ways.  The cost of the surgery is $2,600. I hope to sell some of my own personal belongings to help with raising funds and putting back a house bill or two. The funny thing is that I once vowed to never have a "Go Fund Me" project for help in any situation, as my pride is too strong. Today I bury my pride and ask for your help. This animal is an important part of my family and my kids absolutely adore her. She is a great protector and also an advocate to the Bully Breed. She has spent lots of time convincing folks that the Pit Bull breed is a loving and caring breed if raised correctly. She has given out countless face licks and butt wiggles to many non believers and converted them into pit lovers. Please help me to save her life!!

We are currently trying to get a loan to cover some of the costs and in the event that the funds are raised ahead of time, we will close this Fund and get Luna the help she needs immediately.  Those of you that are friends with me on Facebook will be able to attest how much we celebrate this animal's life in the pics we post. If you can give ANYTHING to help, a quarter, a dollar or two, will all be greatly appreciated by me and my fam.
