Help us to honor my brother and his fight.

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of my brother, Paolo Gallizzi. My brother was only 31 years old and fought a long, difficult road against cancer since November of 2021. Since then, he has endured multiple procedures including an 8 hour surgery to remove his cancer, chemo, radiation, multiple chest tubes in his body to treat sepsis and infections he developed after his treatments and even pneumonia. My brother was a warrior and he is also my hero.

Paolo was a longtime resident of Glen Cove. He had many friends and family in the community and in the surrounding areas. My brother worked at the Pathmark in Greenvale before moving to Buffalo. Anyone who knew my brother could tell you how full of life he was. He was a hard worker, kind and compassionate. He always had a smile on his face to greet you and he would literally give you his own shirt off his back. His work ethic was admired as he worked even after his diagnosis and up until he went in for his surgery.

We are reaching out to the community to ask of your help to give my brother a proper burial. My brother and my family had not planned for such a tragic life event to occur so early. My brother also did not have any life insurance or savings. Paolo moved to Ohio to live with his beloved girlfriend after moving from Buffalo. We are asking donations in any amount you can afford to help us honor my brother and his fight against cancer and to bring him back home to NY so he can be with his family. Any amount donated will be deeply appreciated in the highest extent of gratitude. We are asking for your help, please help Paolo and us all. We are never the type to ask of any help however, we have exhausted all our options.
