HELP US TO HELP THE INNOCENTS OF TURKEY

Hi, I’m Joanne Molloy and I became involved with Animal Friends of Turkey (AFOT) four years ago when our family adopted Ruzgar the Boxer dog. This small charity of dedicated volunteers impressed me so much with their passion and professionalism I joined their fundraising team and I’ve never looked back.

Despite going through so much neglect and abuse, Ruzgar gives us unlimited joy and unconditional love every single day. We’re so lucky to have him and I want to give others the chance to feel their hearts full of that love - dogs and humans alike.

AFOT rescues dogs from abuse, abandonment and/or neglect - those with no future in Turkey and no hope. Sadly, in order to continue its amazing work AFOT desperately needs funds. Our donated adoption fee only covers a small percentage of the costs involved in rescuing and rehoming a dog from Turkey. These dogs have known terrible abuse and the healing process begins the moment they come into AFOT, but it’s at a cost, which has escalated to a massive in excess of £2500 per dog. This is the cost of food, foster care, veterinary fees, worming, inoculations and transportation. The adoption donation is only £600 so the remaining £1900 has to be raised for every single dog, so our target of £2500 for this campaign will rescue and rehome four more dogs and make space for four more - eight more precious lives.

With our sanctuary and foster spaces full, with queues to take a dog’s place as soon as it leaves to go to its forever home, we need to continually fundraise to cover this cost. Please help us to help them - without our intervention they have no hope.
