Help Us To Help Our Golden Boy Rocky

UPDATE: One of our amazing friends has donated £1000 to help Rocky so the new total needed is now £3000.

Our lovely boy Rocky, who has been waiting patiently for a home for over 12 months is currently at the vets waiting for surgery that will quite literally change his life.

The financial cost is huge, the estimates are between £3500 and £4000 but this boy has been in pain his whole life and without this surgery it will continue.

Rocky has chronic ear infections and despite investigations and multiold different types of medication over the last 12 months nothing has helped.

Unfortunately, due to an almost life long issue with his ears the amount of scar tissue is only making his ear issues worse and the only way forward to give him the quality of life he deserves is surgery.

We had a referral to paragon referrals in Wakefield till this morning have seen Rocky and agreed that the best next steps for him is a total year canal ablation. Here is a link with the more information on this.

his surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning (Friday 3rd January 2025)

It is very invasive surgery where they essentially remove his entire ear canal and drill all the way down to the skull (this is pretty much word for word from the Vet)

We feel this will massively improve not only Rocky’s quality of life but also Rocky’s chance of getting a home as the Potential veterinary costs this boy would face without the surgery, might be quite off putting for a family.

We are coming to you, our lovely friends followers and asking for support where possible. If you can donate, we would be so grateful but even if not, sharing with friends and family who could possibly give a little towards the cost would be incredible once I get invoices I will attach them so you can see just where your money is going and will update as I get updates from the Vets.
