Last Monday, after months of Vet visits and testing, We finally got an answer to the things ailing our lovely cat Shiva. Up until recently, She was a perfectly healthy, anti-social, silly 8 year old princess.

We recently learn that Shiva has a polyp in her stomach that is causing distress to her digestive system. Polyp are usually more present in older cats and are usually not a big deal. Sadly, her polyp is causing an obstruction that will continue to cause damage and distress to her and will lead to death.

The vet gave us only two options: Surgery or Palliatives care

They recommended us to go seek in surgery to mechanically remove the polyp in the way and give her the best chances to live healthy many more years. 

The other option is much harder for us to accept. Shiva is an incredibly important part of our small family of three. She might not be the most snuggly cat, but she always helped Léanne through some of her darkest times. We aren't ready to stop fighting for her and want to get her the surgery to try all we can to get her better.

The veterinary surgeon has quoted the procedure around 8,000 CAD, we with this GoFundMe will hope to just help offset any of these costs that we can.
