Help Søren home to Denmark

Dear reader,

My brother, Søren Østergaard, is stuck in Dubai with a travel ban and has no means to get out. I am reaching out for help to get him home.

Søren was an entrepreneur in the Middle East. He has a big heart and is very resilient, but in the best will to protect employees and partners he pushed it one round too far and failed to wind down, liquidate, and get out in time. So now he is caught with a liability that automatically invokes a travel ban in Dubai.

This situation is not caused by any misdemeanors or reckless behavior, but in absence of a bankruptcy law, the ultimate consequence is imprisonment.

Søren exhausted all his options and although he has a positive mind, he struggles, and we need to get him home. We miss him and he misses us.

Target: 400,000 DKK (57,000 USD)

57,000 USD will clear enough of the liability to get the ban lifted. Any contribution - even small contributions would be a massive help and speed up the process of getting him released.

If you don't want to spend directly, an idea could be to find something you never use, sell it, and donate the earnings to Søren.
