Dana Darlene Ammons, 50, has been missing since June 22, 2026, from the New Bern in eastern North Carolina.
She was last seen on surveillance footage walking near Caballus Trailers on U.S. 70 between Havelock and New Bern, leaving behind her vehicle, phone, identification, cards, and all personal belongings.
Because Dana was experiencing a mental health crisis at the time she disappeared, finding her and confirming she is safe is an urgent matter.
Law enforcement's investigation remains ongoing, but months have now passed with more questions than answers, and there have been no sightings of Dana.
The Ongoing Search and the Distance Challenge
Dana’s daughter, Katelyn, and her sister, Michelle, live more than eight hours away from where Dana was last seen. Despite the immense distance, they have continuously traveled back and forth to search, distribute flyers, and follow every possible lead.
However, a family can only do so much on its own. The ongoing travel expenses—gas, lodging, and food—alongside time away from work, have created a heavy financial strain. Furthermore, the family needs resources to pursue additional options, such as hiring qualified search professionals or securing legal guidance to help them get answers.
How Funds Will Be Used
Every dollar raised through this fundraiser will directly support the search efforts to bring Dana home, including:
Travel & Lodging: Covering gas, food, and lodging for the family's 8+ hour trips to eastern North Carolina.
Search & Awareness: Purchasing search supplies, printing flyers, and expanding community outreach.
Professional & Legal Assistance: Hiring private search professionals or obtaining legal guidance to pursue new avenues of information.
Please help us Bring Dana Home:
Dana is a mother, a sister, a grandmother and is deeply loved. Her family refuses to give up on her, but they cannot carry this financial and emotional burden alone.
If you are in a position to donate, no amount is too small. If you cannot donate, please share this page and keep Dana’s face circulating. Someone out there saw her, spoke to her, or knows something that could help.
