Help us to Cover Damages after Arson Attack to Our Mosque

My name is Abdirazak Kaynan (Imam Kaynan), and I serve as the Imam at Alhikma Islamic Center.

On Monday, September 29th, someone attacked a mosque and community, they attempted to start a fire inside our Mosque/Center. Alhamdulillah, because the building is brick, the fire did not spread far, and one of our community members saw it in time to act quickly. Still, the damage has left us with repairs that we must urgently address. The case is under investigation, and we hope the law enforcement will arrest the people who attacked our community. While the case will take longer, we need your help.

We are asking for your donations and support to help us restore our center so it can continue to serve as a safe place for worship, learning, and community. Every contribution, big or small, will help us rebuild and keep our doors open.

Our center is more than just a Center/Mosque. It is a home for our immigrant community in South Minneapolis— a place where families come together to pray, support one another, and heal. During the day, children fill our building as part of our childcare programs, and in the evenings, we teach the Qur’an to children and youth, nurturing the next generation. There are also community organizations and businesses that office in our building that serve the community. Every evening, there are after-school programs and families that come to our Center for different programs.
