My name is Sacha, I am an award-winning independent filmmaker from Melbourne, Australia. My team and I are currently working on an exciting new production called Emerge, in which we follow the journey of 8 brilliant artists as they come together to exhibit at NotFair Art Fair - Australia’s independent art fair.

We are fundraising to cover the costs of post-production of this feature length documentary, which should be ready for screening in June this year.

What is it about?

Emerge follows eight NotFair artists, diving into their struggles, challenges, creative drive and determination, and the way it all transforms into art. As a filmmaker, I have always been fascinated by personal stories of finding strength and growth within themselves – of becoming the person someone is meant to be.

Emerge explores the creative journeys of these artists - from finding inspiration amid isolations and mental health struggles during the pandemic, to showcasing their work at NotFair Art Fair.

NotFair Art Fair is a not-for-profit platform for independent artists who often do not fit the commercial mould and are overlooked and under-recognized. With a focus on the unusual and experimental, the initial grass roots event has grown into a well-known and popular event on the Australian art calendar, and has launched many artists into successful careers.
