Dear respected brother and sister, we’ve been conducting our prayers at JAMIAH ISLAMIC CENTER INC mosque, a nonprofit corporation located at 8950 Woodhaven Blvd, Woodhaven, NY 11421. I, Mashud Hasan, have been the secretary of this mosque for the last ten years. Our lease ends on December 2023, and the property owner decided to sell the property on a first-come basis and discontinue any further leasing options. The owner is currently advertising the sellout price of this property at $1.7M, of which we have raised $55,000.

At this point, we are struggling to raise a huge amount to buy out this property. Our first goal is to raise at least the down payment of $400,000, followed by the remaining amount. We need your financial support to cover the expenses to buy out this property that our Muslim brothers and sisters use to offer the five daily prayers, Jummah, Taraweeh prayers and Eid prayers. Our mosque is completely occupied during the Jummah, Taraweeh and Eid prayers. If we fail to buy out this property in this area, all our brothers and sisters will lose the opportunity to pray at this location. We don’t have any mosque within walking distance at this location for older people and everyone living in this neighborhood.
