It's with a heavy heart that I have to say, today, our mom left us.
After fighting for so long, she can finally rest.
Our mom had liver disease, and as a result it led to other complications, eventually reaching and affecting her brain. This led to a brain hemorrhage.
Anyone who knew my mom knew she was a fighter. She never backed down from anything—or anyone—easily.
She raised five kids all on her own, without any help. She was a single mother who worked incredibly hard for her children. She was the kind of woman who helped so many people without thinking twice. She would do anything for her kids—no matter what. If she had to lie to protect us or keep us safe, she would, without hesitation.
As a mother, she was unbelievably strong. We honestly don’t know how she did it—raising five kids, especially when four of us were not easy to raise. But she never gave up. No matter what life threw at her, she faced it head-on.
Sadly, my sister passed away 11 years ago. That loss broke my mom’s heart in a way she never truly recovered from. But now, she can finally rest in peace, knowing she’ll be reunited with her daughter. My mom and sister can finally be together again—hopefully not fighting too much up there.
It breaks our hearts that this had to happen to her after so much suffering.
Our mom touched so many people’s lives. If you’re able to help us during this incredibly difficult time, it would mean the world to us. Anything you can contribute would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
Goodbye, Ma.
You are deeply loved by your family and friends.
We’ll carry your strength and love with us always.
