Help Us Through Norman's Healing Time
Donation protected
Hello. This is my first time ever reaching out for help for our family. On November 22nd, my husband Norman had to have Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), a surgical procedure that treats conditions in the neck by removing a damaged disc and fusing the vertebrae together on C5-C7. He had a bone spur that was pressing on the nerves pretty bad. They shaved that down and added some plates. The surgery went well, and he is starting the recovery process.
For those that know Norman and our situation, know that he is a stay-at-home dad currently due to all the pain he was in. He tends to our two children every day while I work. With that being said, he has to pretty much do nothing but heal and physical therapy for 6 weeks minimum. He can’t lift more than a few pounds and has little to no feeling in his right arm at the moment.
I am currently on a LOA from work, but unfortunately, it is an unpaid leave. I am doing this to try and get some help for the bills and groceries while I am on leave. I am unable to go back until he is healed to tend to our household and children. We have a 6-year-old and soon-to-be 2-year-old. With Christmas coming, any donation would be greatly appreciated.
