In 2021, my life was turned upside down. Since then, I have undergone two tumor removal surgeries, and unfortunately, one of the tumors has grown back—meaning I will need yet another surgery.

On top of that, I struggle with severe gastrointestinal issues, which cause painful bleeding and loss of bowel control. My C1 and C2 vertebrae are compressed against my skull, my spine and neck are misaligned, and doctors believe I may also have arthritis in my lower back. Either from diabetes or spinal issues, I also suffer from severe neuropathy in my legs, leaving me in constant pain and making it extremely difficult to walk or stand for long periods.

I am currently working with my doctors to apply for long-term disability, but as many know, that process takes time. In the meantime, my wife, who was working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for my mom, lost her only client when my mom was placed in rehab. Sadly, the agency has not given her any new clients, leaving us with no steady income.

We are now very far behind on our bills, and most days we’re lucky if we get to eat once. It’s been extremely hard trying to stay strong through the pain and stress, but right now, we are asking for help.
