Help Through Jordan's Recovery Time

My husband, Jordan, was in an accident last week. He called me at 6:30 am as I was getting ready for work and was hysterical. I couldn’t understand him at all. I told him I’d find him on Life360, and I was out the door rushing to him. When I got to him, he was severely burned and in a great deal of pain. We went to the ER and were told he has 2nd-degree chemical burns, and Augusta Burn Unit was recommended. However, my husband is your typical man and was hard-headed and didn’t want anyone touching it because it hurt so bad, understandably so. So, we left and got his prescription for the Silvadene cream. He has been keeping it clean, covered, and keeping the cream applied, hoping it would heal without anything further. Unfortunately, he is now losing sensation in his fingers and hand. So, we are going to the burn unit. I’m not giving him an option. This is where the GoFundMe comes in. We have a big family. My husband was burned on Wednesday and tried to return to work on Thursday, and couldn’t hold out. If he doesn’t work, he isn’t paid. He doesn’t have PTO or anything similar. He is our main source of income. My job helps, of course, but there’s absolutely no way it will keep us above water while he is out of work. In addition, trips to Augusta, bills while he’s out of work healing, Christmas coming up. Like most families, we are paycheck to paycheck usually. So this has definitely affected our ability to provide an enjoyable Christmas for our kiddos and keep everything paid up during this time.
