Help Us Through Elton's Health Crisis

Hello everyone. As many of you may know, this year has been extremely difficult. On March 24th, Elton my loving husband, a father and Papaw got extremely sick. After a visit to get a possible cyst/tumor/lymphnode checked they told us it was a cyst and they could drain it. As soon as they cut into him they said they couldnt and we'd have to go to a surgeon, they tried to pack it and couldnt do that either, so they put a band aid on it and sebt us home with antibiotics. From there things took a turn for the worst. The cyst got infected and very quickly became a case of sepsis accompanied by delirium within hours. After 3 trips to the ER, he ultimately was admitted. He ended up having his gallbladder taken out as well because due to the infection, it swelled 4x the size it should be. He came home after about a week, the day right after surgery .The day they discharged him, he ended up going right back that night and from there he fought in the hospital for another week with severe sepsis, continued delirium, and encephalopathy. After treatments, he finally came home for good on April 5th. I nearly lost him multiple times in a matter of weeks.

However, the struggle isn’t over. He’s now dealing with chronic pain and numbness in his arms and legs and memory issues, stroke like symptoms (but they say no stroke) which has impacted his ability to return to work. We are in and out of doctor’s appointments, needing to get some type of reheb, (they said he would need inpatient rehab but didnt send him because we were without insurance. I am trying to figure out what all we’re dealing with now. I am even unable to work due to the fact that he currently cannot be left alone.

We are in over our heads in bills, such as:

•lengthy hospital bills

•household needs

•gas

•rehabilitation

and I am also having to make trips to help my mother out as well since her illness which is a bit of a distance. I’m trying to sell the truck to make ends meet but that has yet to pan out. We’ve depleted all of our savings and any funds.
