Hi everybody, my name is Dalina. I am creating this gofundme with the hope that it’ll reach someone who’d be willing to help support my family during this time. I gave birth to my 3rd son April 14th. On his second day of life, while still in the postpartum suite at Kaiser hospital, he experienced his first seizure. He continued to have seizures until I could get the doctors to believe what I was seeing. By the grace of God, we got him over to a children’s hospital and there he started being taken care of. He went 2 months seizure free and during this time, the bloodwork came back from the epilepsy panel, resulting in 2 genetic mutations. Since the end of June, it has been regular ER visits, upping the dose of his medication and breakthrough seizures. To the point of his mouth turning blue, which has been very hard for me to witness, especially being alone with my toddler and 6 year old most days. It has been a difficult time for us since trying to get the seizures under control, I have not been able to sleep and my other 2 sons have been so patient with me not wanting to go anywhere all by myself. My husband is back at work but has 4 weeks of unpaid paternity leave left and I am desperate for him to be home during this time, while we are waiting on God to heal my baby, waiting on answers from doctors, and so he can be there with our other kids with the doctors/er visits. If it is placed on your heart to help us in this season, I would be so grateful. It has been extremely exhausting navigating this season of our lives and I’m praying for community to help ease the financial stress just a little bit. My sweet boy is the happiest baby I’ve ever met and we will keep fighting for him. His name means “God will strengthen” and is incredibly accurate for his testimony.
