Help us take Belizean Youth to the Jubilee 2025

On August 4, 2025, around 2 million young Catholics from around the world will gather in Rome to attend the Jubilee for Youth presided over by Pope Leo XIV. As the church has been called to announce the good news to the distant nations, we are Catholic missionaries from the Neocatechumenal Way evangelizing in Belize. As part of the evangelization, we would like the youth in Belize to participate in this event through a pilgrimage that will enable them to encounter the Risen Christ today. We will invite the youth to live a period of grace in their lives during this pilgrimage by celebrating Holy Eucharists, listening to preachings from catechists, and most of all, having intense moments of prayer in holy places. Thus offering us occasions for sanctification, conversion, intercessory petitions, and spiritual growth. Most importantly, the experience will be capped off by a vocational encounter that will invite these youth to live their vocations as Christians while encouraging them to discern God’s calls to marriage, the priesthood, or religious life.

We need your help! The youth are facing difficulties in paying for the flights, even though they have already received their Schengen Visas. Most of them come from humble households with economic challenges, but Christ has come to destroy all barriers, and these youth feel that Christ is calling them to encounter Him in Rome. We have set up this GoFundMe to help cover the flights and other expenses.

Everyone has the right to encounter the love of God, and we are certain that God will grant each benefactor the hundred-fold for their help. We will keep each one of our benefactors in our prayers during our pilgrimage, especially while we visit the holy sites.

El 4 de agosto de 2025, alrededor de 2 millones de jóvenes católicos de todo el mundo se reunirán en Roma para asistir al Jubileo de la Juventud, presidido por el Papa León XIV. La Iglesia, que ha sido llamada a anunciar la buena nueva a las naciones lejanas, nos ha enviado como misioneros católicos del Camino Neocatecumenal evangelizar en Belice. Como parte de la evangelización, nos gustaría que los jóvenes de Belice participaran en este evento a través de una peregrinación que les permita encontrarse con Cristo Resucitado hoy. Los invitaremos a vivir un período de gracia en sus vidas durante esta peregrinación celebrando la Sagrada Eucaristía, escuchando las predicaciones de los catequistas y, sobre todo, teniendo momentos intensos de oración en lugares santos. Esto nos ofrecerá oportunidades de santificación, conversión, peticiones de intercesión y crecimiento espiritual. Y lo más importante, la experiencia culminará con un encuentro vocacional que invitará a estos jóvenes a vivir su vocación como cristianos y los animará a discernir los llamados de Dios al matrimonio, al sacerdocio o a la vida religiosa.

¡Necesitamos tu ayuda! Los jóvenes tienen dificultades para pagar los vuelos, a pesar de que ya han recibido sus visas Schengen. La mayoría de estos jóvenes vienen de hogares humildes con dificultades económicos, ¡Pero Cristo ha venido a destrozar todas barreras!
