The realities of this pandemic have highlighted an important focus point for the essential survival of our employee-owned (worker cooperative) business—prioritizing the well-being of our crew.
We do not know when the pandemic will end, and we want to give this community our best by making sure we all stay healthy and well.
Our Co-op Board collectively decided to protect our team from physical, mental, and emotional burnout by closing both shops and having everyone take a *mandatory paid week off* to re-energize for the long run. We will be closed 8/17-8/23.
It is going to be a big financial hit to our business. We have calculated the cost to be about $25,000 (not including lost profit) and are willing to sacrifice for our crew. If you would like to support us through this short break, please donate to our GoFundMe where all funds will help with necessary fixed costs like payroll, rent, utilities, etc.
