This is Cash. He was tied to a pole at a railway station where people were evacuating and fleeing for their lives. Our rescue partners in Ukraine heard about his sighting and realized that unfortunately nobody was coming back for him, and sent him with a family to Poland to a Refugee camp. A kind foster family from Amsterdam stepped up for him till he made his final journey to his furever home. Cause 4 Paws Toronto is working together with Ukrainian rescuers to bring him to Canada. He arrives at Pearson International Airport this Friday May 6th around 730pm. We are hoping to hopefully cover this story and raise funds to rescue more dogs from Ukraine. As you can imagjne there are so many left behind during the war that are starving in shelters and getting killed on the streets.
As a rescue that works both internationally and locally, we want to not only open up the path to bring abandoned or in-shelter Ukrainian dogs to Canada, but we also want to empower the locals who have bravely stayed behind to keep feeding and caring for their shelter dogs.
Please help us help the abandoned, displaced and stray dogs of Ukraine. We appreciate your support. Together we can make a huge impact!
