Help us support Troy through this tragic loss

For those who do not know, on February 21, 2020, Kolbe Roper, husband to Troy VanderHeyden, son to Jim & Christa Roper and the late Melissa Speller, and father to pugs Titus and Taco, suddenly passed away. This tragic event happened a mere four months after Kolbe and Troy were officially married, in a ceremony where there was not a dry eye in the house. Friends and family were over the moon for this couple. They were planning a honeymoon, embarking on new career ventures, and looking forward to a well deserved happily ever after. Life is incredibly unfair.
For those of us who are shocked and saddened by this news, and also touched by their beautiful love story, many have asked, "What can we do to help?" Well, here is what we can do. Troy is now facing an incredibly difficult time, navigating a new life, grieving, moving, and baring the brunt of many expenses now on his own. If you ask him, he will say he doesn't want any help, but as friends and family of this beautiful soul, who has been there for many of us in our times of need... I think we can do better.
Any contributions to this fund will help Troy to get through this hard time without having to worry about how to pay the rent, bills, or travel expenses for Kolbe's services. It will also help in the planning of a memorial for Kolbe in Los Angeles, to be determined at a later date.
For anyone who has suffered a loss, facing life without your loved one is hard enough. Please consider giving to help support our friend.
