Swell Bakery was created by Emily Kohne in 2019 from one key ingredient: Love. Not just a love of Baking, nor just a love of Surfing, but also the love of family, friends, and community.

Home to Thunder Bay, Swell has been fortunate to grow (and continue to grow) a large, loving, supportive community. Who isn’t all for the love of butter and all things flakey? Right?!

Emily, like a vast number of other entrepreneurs & small businesses, has faced several challenges, including remaining open throughout a Pandemic. Impressive is an understatement when it comes to her resilience and love for what she creates.

Unfortunately, Emily is now faced with a new challenge. Earlier this year, Emily and the rest of her family received the news that her Father has Cancer and will soon start the journey to beat it. Family, like Baking and Surfing, is a love Emily holds very dear to her.

Emily is currently driving to British Columbia to support her father as he beats Cancer. Despite the number of challenges she still faces as a young Entrepreneur; Family comes first. Please help us come together and support Emily so she can support both Swell and her Father.
