As many of you know, our friend Kush, who works at Tesco and is well-loved in our village, is launching a fundraising effort to help those affected by the recent floods in Sri Lanka. Kush is a great friend and has asked me to create this funding and post. Any funds will be managed by him. he has already raised some

Money but asked me to help with the post.

We’re setting up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for food and essential supplies. Every little bit helps, and your generosity can make a big difference for those in need.

Impact of the Floods:

• Severe Flooding: Cyclone Ditwah caused major flooding and landslides in Sri Lanka in late 2025.

• Casualties: At least 618 people have lost their lives, with many still missing.

• Displacement: Over 1.46 million people affected, and approximately 59,000 families in emergency shelters.

• Home Destruction: More than 4,500 homes destroyed and tens of thousands damaged.

• Power and Agriculture: Widespread power outages and significant losses in agriculture, including damage to crops.

• Ongoing Relief Needs: International aid is being mobilized, but continued support is essential.
