Help Us Support “Sergo”, Serge Charles - A Life of Love and Generosity.
If you’ve ever met Serge Charles, you know he’s unforgettable not just for his generosity, but for his warmth, his Godliness, and the way he made everyone around him feel like family.
Since his childhood in Haiti, Sergo has carried a heart full of compassion. He was the kind of boy who would take the shoes off his own feet so someone else could walk. That kind of selflessness defined his life. He became a devoted father of two boys Peterson and Shubar, a loving husband to Annette, a cool grandpa to Chanelle and Adriel, a proud brother to Marcus, William, Marianne, Wesner, and Mary, Denise, a wonderful uncle to all of his nieces and nephew's, and a loyal friend always giving, always smiling.
Today, Sergo needs us.
He is currently in Beverly Hospital, facing serious health challenges, including chronic heart, lung, and kidney failure. He’s fighting with all the strength he has left, but he can’t do it alone.
We are asking for your support, your prayers, your love, and, if you are able, your generosity. Every donation will go toward Sergo’s medical care, comfort, and or funeral arrangements.
This is about showing up for someone who has always shown up for others. It's about honoring a godly man who made us laugh, who made us dance, who gave us love freely and fully even when he had little to give.
But Sergo is more than kind he's hilarious. The kind of guy who could lift your spirits with a one-liner or a perfectly timed joke, often inspired by his favorite TV show, Sanford and Son.
And when the music played? You’d better believe Sergo is dancing, especially if it is his beloved Haitian band, Skah Shah. Their songs are the soundtrack of his life, playing through his happiest memories and connecting him to his roots. Whether it was a backyard BBQ or just another day at home, Skah Shah brought him joy, and he, in turn, brought that joy to everyone around him.
After the loss of the love of his life, Annette Jefferson, Sergo’s world changed. Grief became a quiet companion. Yet even through heartbreak, he continued to show up for others. He found peace in the simple things, tending to yardwork, painting, doing construction, and being near the people he loved. Even in his pain, he continued to give it to God, That’s who he is.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. For your kindness, your prayers, your shares, and your support.
With love and gratitude,
The Charles Family
