This Go Fund me is to support a dear friend, mother, daughter, sister and Nana - Peggy Jenkins. Less than a month ago, Peggy received a heart-breaking diagnosis - Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Since then, Peggy has been in and out of the hospital. In the midst of trying to navigate this life changing diagnosis Peggy’s well ran dry at her home which she shares with her mother and grandson who she cares for full time. At a time when Peggy should be focusing on the fight ahead - she is carrying a great financial burden with this unexpected but necessary expense.

You may know Peggy from her many years in the Building Inspection Department at Goochland County where she treated those she helped along the way like family - greeting them with “Hey Honey” as they walked through the door. She truly cared about those she helped and created a strong bond that lasted even years after she moved on to new career opportunities. Peggy is special in that way, to know her is to love her. She lights up the room with her sense of humor and her warm loving nature.

Peggy is not one to ask for help, even though she is the first to step up to help others. This go fund me is to create an opportunity for others to help Peggy during this most difficult time and remind her that she is not alone in the fight.
