Help us support our dad's medical recovery

On the morning of May 24th, our father Winston was hit by a driver who suddenly drove into the crosswalk. He was riding his bike, one of his many hobbies to stay active, when he was knocked from his bicycle and hit his head on the pavement.

Even with a helmet on, the impact caused internal damage and bleeding. He has been struggling to recover from subdural hematomas ever since. It has been heartbreaking to see our father constantly go in and out of the ICU. Without counting smaller procedures, our father has already undergone five surgeries in the span of two months.

He is still in the ICU, on a breathing tube and feeding tube, with a part of his skull removed to allow his brain to swell. Our dad who was completley self-sufficient, full of energy, and cheerful is now barely conscious or able to communicate.

The emotional and mental stress has taken a toll on our family. It seemed like he would recover at first when he woke up after the first surgeries. He was confused and disoriented—but awake. The decline began soon afterward: his memory started slipping first, then his sense of reality, his mobility, until he could no longer open his eyes and began having seizures.

We’re raising funds to help cover his bills, long-term care, and rehabilitation — including nursing home or in-home nursing support — as he faces a long period of being unable to care for himself. Our father’s livelihood depended on his small business, but that has come to a halt, and it is unclear if he will ever be able to resume.

We ask that you please pray for our dad. If you are in a position to donate, any amount, no matter how much, would mean a lot to us. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page or keeping our dad in your prayers.

Thank you so much!! We genuinely appreciate everyone's support.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Daughters of Winston
