UPDATE: on 11/11/25 my dad gained his wings, for the pass couple of months I have been working really hard to be prepared for this day. Every check I’ve made has went directly to his funeral expenses but it’s not enough I am still $1200 short and I have exhausted all my . I just want to lay my daddy to rest so I can begin to grieve. I have been struggling with trying to stay strong for him and my family through this hard time but I am ready to allow myself to start grief. Nothing is too small everything adds up. Thank you..

Hi my name is LaOisha, with the support of my siblings I have created this account for our dad Sam Allen. My family and I love him so deeply. Watching him go through so much pain in what may be his final days has been incredibly hard. He is someone who has always lived with love, faith, and strength. No one deserves to suffer like this.

On August 15th, our lives changed forever. Sam was rushed to the hospital from home, and we soon learned that he had suffered a severe stroke. The stroke has greatly impacted his memory and vision, and the stress on his body has taken a heavy toll on his heart, it’s now only functioning at 15%. Since then, he’s experienced multiple episodes of VTAC (a life-threatening heart rhythm).

During our time in the hospital, doctors have gently prepared us for the possibility that he may not have much longer with us. But we believe that God has the final say, and we are holding on to hope with all our hearts.

Our dad has been through more than most can imagine. While most of his health conditions, like diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD), started in his early adulthood, they have only progressed or caused other serious problems over time. November of 2024, he had his leg amputated, then in January of 2025 he had a massive stroke and from there he has been in the hospital just about every month battling different diagnoses, from infections to heart complications and more. Despite everything, he continues to fight with strength, grace, and faith.

If you know my dad, you know how deeply he loves his family and how much more he loves God. Even though his memory isn’t what it used to be, his heart remains full of love, and his faith never wavers. He prays constantly, trusting in God’s plan.

One of the hardest parts for him is no longer being able to provide for our family the way he used to. He’s always been a provider, a protector, and a man who gave his all without ever expecting anything in return.

Sadly, our dad does not have insurance, and we are now faced with the painful reality of having to prepare for the day God calls him home. Our family wants to honor him with the peaceful and beautiful service he deserves, but until then, we still have ongoing expenses to cover while caring for him during this time.

Update 11/9/25- The family stopped dialysis for my dad last week. He is no longer eating and does not desire to drink much, he has an infection in his foot that is know spreading and has caused his skin to start falling of his leg. The hospice nurses are coming to the house everyday now as he is currently transitioning. Any help is appreciated, I have been working the and putting my full check toward his funeral expenses, I have 5 children to also take care of on top of this and it’s been really hard.. Anything REALLY does help. All proceeds are going toward his funeral expenses. Thank you
