Help Us Support Our Beloved Father in His Fight Against ALS
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for support. In June of this year, our beloved father, Miguel, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a relentless and devastating disease. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, and we are now faced with the daunting challenge of finding the best possible care to give him a fighting chance at a longer, better quality of life.
About Our Father:
Our father is a wonderful, strong, and loving man who has always been there for us and others. To know Miguel Beas is to ADORE him. I’m not biased when I say he is the kindest, purest , most genuine man you’ll ever meet. He will give the shirt off his back in a split second for anyone who needs it. You cannot tell him you’re having an issue with your car, home, yard, etc. without him showing up ready to fix the problem the next time he sees you. For 10+ years he worked 2 jobs 5 days a week (7am-10pm with only a 2 hour break in between) so that we, his children, could have a comfortable life. These examples merely scratch the surface of the amazing selfless man he is. He has touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. And despite this difficult diagnosis, he remains hopeful and determined to fight this disease with everything he has.
The Challenge:
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness, loss of mobility, and eventually, difficulty in breathing and swallowing. Unfortunately, there is no cure for ALS, but there are treatments and therapies that can help slow its progression and improve the quality of life.
Why We Need Your Help:
The cost of ALS treatments, including medications, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory care, is incredibly high. Additionally, as the disease progresses, our father will require specialized equipment and home modifications to maintain his independence and comfort. These expenses are overwhelming, and we cannot bear them alone.
How Your Donation Will Help:
• Medications: To help manage symptoms and potentially slow disease progression.
• Therapies: Physical, occupational, and speech therapy to maintain mobility and communication.
• Respiratory Support: Equipment and care to assist with breathing as the disease progresses.
• Home Modifications: Adjustments to our home to ensure safety and accessibility.
• Daily Care: Support for daily living activities and comfort.
Our Goal:
We are aiming to raise $30,000 to cover these crucial expenses and give our father the best possible chance at a longer, more fulfilling life. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to providing the care he needs.
Join Us in This Fight:
We understand that times are tough for everyone, and we deeply appreciate any support you can offer, whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Your generosity and kindness will make an immeasurable difference in our father’s life and give our family hope during this challenging time.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support and compassion.
With gratitude,
Ashley and the Beas Family
