The path to recovery stretches far ahead of Mark and he will require lots of care for the foreseeable future. After suffering a massive stroke on 12/31/23, Mark spent the past 5 months receiving specialized care and rehabilitation. Reaching the maximum days covered by insurance, he now returns home to his family, which is both wonderful and difficult.

Medical Bills: Even with insurance, the gap in coverage leaves the family facing significant out-of-pocket expenses for treatments and medications essential to Mark’s recovery.

To ensure Mark received the 24-hour care he needs, Julie and the kids are committed to being by his side, but still need assistance.

Immediate needs include:

A Handicap Accessible Van - Mark remains wheelchair-bound and is unable to move his left side.

Home health aide- Although Julie is able to work from home most days, he will still require home health services for his constant care.

Physical Therapy - His needs will continue beyond the 125 days allowed by insurance.
