Dear friends, loved ones, and kind-hearted strangers,

We’re asking for help in supporting our best friend Liv as she navigates a new chapter of her cancer journey.

Liv was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in June 2024. She underwent major surgery to remove her tumor, followed by a course of radiation, and Liv was declared cancer-free in October 2024.

Only 10 months later, another large tumor was found in her abdomen. Further tests confirmed that her adrenal cancer had returned and started to metastasize.

This time, Liv is undergoing six rounds of chemotherapy over the fall and winter months, followed by radiation and surgery. She will have to regularly take time off from her full-time job, and not be able to work her part-time job at the barn where she boards her horse Sierra during treatment, adding hundreds of dollars in expenses each month. Frequent hospital trips, medications, nutritional needs, and unforeseen medical expenses are an additional strain on Liv and her boyfriend Gabe’s finances.

Anyone who knows Liv knows how radiant and joyful she is. Liv’s friendship and care are true gifts. She’s the funniest person in any room, the most loving mother to her dog Arrow and horse Sierra, and always thinking of ways to help her community. Despite her reluctance to accept help, it’s our turn to show up for her and surround her with material support in this stressful time.
