In 2024, we both received the life-changing news that we had been diagnosed with breast cancer. After months of treatment and recovery, we’re now doing well — healthy, strong, and more determined than ever to give back.

That’s why we’ve signed up for an incredible challenge: Hike for Hope – Bay of Fires in November 2025. We’re taking on this multi-day trek to raise much-needed funds for Breast Cancer Trials, an organisation committed to advancing breast cancer research through clinical trials.

These trials are the only way to improve treatments and outcomes for people affected by breast cancer — and they’re expensive, averaging around $3 million per trial. But they save lives. Thanks to this research, treatments like Herceptin, Tamoxifen, Exemestane and Letrozole are now available to thousands of women and men across Australia.
