Help Us Support Kaitlin’s Family in the Wake of Tragedy

Hi, my name is Teri, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother Brian (38), his wife Kaitlin (34), and their two beautiful daughters, Laura (11) and Natalie (9).

Just last week, Kaitlin was brought to Enloe Hospital in Chico, CA after struggling with extreme fatigue. After a whirlwind of tests, she was diagnosed on March 25th with an aggressive, fast-moving cancer. The doctors found a large tumor in her lung and several small blood clots in her brain, likely the cause of multiple mini-strokes. Despite the best efforts of her care team, we were told there are only a few days left to say goodbye.

This is a devastating and sudden loss that none of us could have prepared for.

Kaitlin is the heart of their home — a devoted wife, an incredible mom, a loving daughter, sister, and friend. While Kaitlin has always been comfortable in the background, she will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and fierce love for her family. Watching her girls adore her has been one of the great joys of our lives.

We originally thought Kaitlin didn’t have life insurance, but her superintendent called Brian on Friday, March 28th, to tell him that she did have a policy, so luckily that will help get them through, as well. This unimaginable tragedy has left our family reeling, and we're just trying to carry each other through.
