In memory of Ezra Claridge ✨

As many of you know, Ezra was born with Holt-Oram syndrome, a genetic condition that affects the upper limbs and the heart. 75% of babies with Holt Oram will have a heart defect, usually, and in Ezra's case that defect was holes in the heart. This has led to many surgeries and interventions over the past 21 months.

Devastatingly, Ezra had a sudden cardiac arrest on Wednesday. Paramedics performed CPR for 3 hours, but unfortunately, too much damage had been done and he passed away on Thursday cuddled up with his mummy and daddy.

For anyone who had the privilege of knowing Ezra, I think you would agree that he enriched our lives in so many ways. He was a true fighter, and it was always amazing to see the strength he had when faced with so much adversity. He was truly an inspiration to us all and will be missed more than words could say.

We know that many of you that have been touched by Ezra’s story and Kain and Lucy are finding great comfort in your messages of condolences and support. Lots of you have reached out to ask if there is anything you can do and honestly just your thoughts and kindness is enough but Kain and Lucy would like to eventually do something in honour of Ezra. Whether that’s some nice way that they can remember him, a memorial or to help other families who have children with Holt Oram or heart babies. So I have started this Gofundme page to allow people to contribute.
