Help Us Support Kai Through His Seizure Battle

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to share the story of our sweet boy, Kai. He’s a 3-year-old mini Alaskan Husky with the biggest heart and the gentlest soul. Since June 2024, Kai has been struggling with seizures. Our family vet suspects it may be idiopathic epilepsy, which is common in dogs his age, but unfortunately, we can’t afford the MRI or spinal fluid tap needed to fully rule out other causes.

For a while, things were looking up. Kai responded well to his medication and went seizure-free for several months. But in February-March 2025, the seizures returned. After an emergency vet visit, his medication dosage was increased and additional medications were added to try and help him. Despite this, he has continued to experience seizures on and off, especially this April, making the past couple of months incredibly difficult for both Kai and our family.

Managing Kai’s condition has been emotionally exhausting and financially overwhelming. His vet bills continue to add up as we try to find the right treatment plan and get him the best care possible.

We love Kai more than words can express, and it’s heartbreaking to see him go through this. We’re doing everything we can, but the financial strain is growing heavier by the day. That’s why we’re turning to our community for help.
