Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with an opportunity to help. Our friend John Hans suffered a massive heart attack and went into cardiogenic shock on Wednesday, April 17th. This unforeseen medical emergency has drastically changed John and Deb’s lives, and they need our help to stand in the gap.

What Happened: Wednesday, April 17, 2024

On April 17th, John experienced a severe heart attack. Surgeons discovered a complete blockage in his heart and worked tirelessly to repair it. Despite these efforts, John's condition remained critical, with the doctor telling Deb, "he is as sick as you can be and still be alive." Through your prayers and God’s grace, John made it through that critical first night…and then the first weekend…and then the next weekend after that.

God Is Moving: Wednesday, May 15, 2024

By the power of our Holy God and your unceasing prayers, John was released from the hospital four weeks later. While still facing challenges, including kidney issues and anemia, John is feeling incrementally better. Each day we see the evidence of God answering our prayers, giving John strength and hope, but the journey is still long.

How You Can Help

Many of you have graciously asked how you can help, and Deb and John are deeply touched by your generosity. John's ability to work is the cornerstone of their livelihood, and his absence has caused a significant financial strain. Their income depends heavily on John’s direct efforts. He has been unable to work for over seven weeks, and the future remains uncertain regarding his ability to timely return to work and the subsequent loss of income.

The financial burden is mounting daily as they have already lost income due to John’s inability to work. They are praying that John will be able to return to work soon, but that is still an unknown as are some of the medical bills. Additionally, his new medications cost at least $600 per month beyond what insurance will cover. Our goal is to raise $32,000 to help cover these expenses and provide a financial lifeline for John and Deb during this incredibly challenging time.

Your generosity allows John and Deb to focus on healing without the added stress of finances. Your prayers, even more than financial support, are the foundation of their strength and hope.
