If you know Jessie, you already know how big her heart is. She’s been my best friend since we were 13 years old, and she’s lovingly known as “Auntie Jessie” to my two young daughters. She’s the one who shows up with love, patience, and playfulness—she’s the one who watches the girls when we go out of town, just because she adores them that much. She has poured so much into our lives, and now it’s our turn to pour into hers.

Jessie recently had her first mammogram while preparing to move down to Tacoma—and that’s when she got the diagnosis: breast cancer. Her treatment plan includes surgery, radiation, and possibly chemotherapy. The road ahead will be challenging, but we are walking it with full faith and hope that she’ll move into remission and be able to start the next chapter of her life here in Tacoma with us.

In the meantime, she’s moving in with our family to help minimize expenses, but there are still unavoidable monthly bills she needs to cover. We’re hoping to raise $4,000 to help Jessie focus on healing, not finances, over the next 3–4 months of treatment.
