About Immi
Hi, we’re a small gym in Barnstaple called PARC, and we’re coming together to support one of our own, Imy, a 15-year-old PARC member who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Imy has been facing more than any teenager ever should, yet she continues to show up with courage, grit, and a smile that lights up the room. When her energy allows, she still comes into PARC every couple of weeks to train, keep moving, keep fighting and do what she can.
We are in absolute awe of Imi's strength and resilience. Her outlook and the way she is handling everything is astounding, and we couldn’t be prouder. Her courage and resilience inspire every single one of us.
Why We’re Doing This
February is Cancer Research Month, and as a community, we wanted to do something meaningful to help support Imi and her family.
For the entire month of February, we’re committing to 100 squats every single day.
This challenge isn’t just for PARC members, it’s open to anyone who wants to get involved, move their body, and show support.
How You Can Join
Whether you:
Do 100 squats every day in February
Do as many as you can to your ability
Or simply donate and share
You’re part of the challenge.
We’re inviting the wider community to join in, share the challenge, donate if you can, and stand behind Imi and her family. Every squat is a reminder that she has a whole community backing her.
No young person should have to face cancer, but if there’s one thing we can do, it’s make sure Imi feels supported, loved, and lifted by the people around her.
How the Funds Will Be Used
All funds raised will go directly towards supporting Imi, and most importantly, to allow her to have something special to look forward to. Something joyful that can be booked in her diary during or after treatment - She absolutely deserves it.
Thank you for reading, donating, sharing, squatting, and supporting.
Every bit of love truly makes a difference.
With gratitude,
The PARC Community & beyond
