Our friend and colleague Gentiana is forced to undergo transplantation– a bone marrow transplant, after several months of medical treatment (five cycles of chemotherapy), because of acute lymphocytic leukaemia (a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow), which occurred last summer. This intervention, which should happen in less than a week, is very critical for her life and very expensive at the same time (~100K €). Knowing the difficult situation in which Gentiana and her family are, we would like to show them our support by fundraising.
For those of you who don’t know Gentiana (or Genta, as everyone calls her) very well, she is the kindest person with the quietest and loveliest voice most have ever heard. She is a telecom engineer, always working with passion and restlessly, with solid dedication and patience (even when she was not feeling well). She is a mum of two boys, Joel (15 years old) and Adiel (12 years old). For many of us, she is a rare and precious friend.
Your kindness is much appreciated, and we all hope it will help Gentiana pass this difficult time.
Please note that she is not aware of this initiative, and we would prefer to inform her only after the intervention has been completed to avoid strong emotions during these days.
