This school year our Grade 4s began a letter writing exchange with students from Warazo Primary School in Kenya. This exhange will help student see themselves as global citizens and introduce them to a more diverse understanding of education. This will also be an opportunity for students to practice their 21st Century Global Compentencies. https://sites.google.com/tdsb.on.ca/globalcompetencies.

Franklin Murithi is the principal of Warazo and for almost a decade we have collaborated on projects aimed at increasing food production for schools in rural Kenya. He is a tireless social activist who understands what can and needs to be done to support his students and their communities.
You generous support will help build a working farm at Warazo that can provide fresh food for students and eventually create a revenue stream for the school to sell vegetables to the local community.
Thank you for supporting Franklin's students and our classroom learning journey!
