Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
Our world was turned upside down on August 22nd when our parents, Debbie and Daved Forde, were involved in a near-fatal car accident. Their car was struck by an oncoming vehicle at an intersection, leaving both of them with significant injuries.
Our mom, Debbie, suffered multiple breaks, including her leg, knee, both her arms, sternum, and ribs. She underwent emergency surgery and is being closely monitored in the ICU for internal injuries.
Our dad, Daved, fractured his pelvis and spinal discs, as well as some internal injuries. Thankfully he doesn’t need surgery, but he faces a long recovery and will require rehabilitation to learn to walk again.
We’re raising funds to cover their medical expenses, including hospital stays, surgeries, rehabilitation, and ongoing care, none of which will be covered by insurance for our mom.

Current Status:
- Our mom is now out of the ICU. She faces a long recovery in a rehabilitation center, where she’ll work on regaining her strength and mobility.
- Our dad is also in a rehabilitation facility, undergoing daily physiotherapy to learn to walk again.
- Despite the severity of their injuries, we’re grateful they are both alive and making small steps toward recovery.
