Help us support Dante in his recovery

For those of you that don’t know Dante, he is a loveable, larger than life than life character who is a core family member, a friend to many, and he is also an American Football player for the Lancashire Wolverines.

On Sunday 14th June, Dante was injured during an away game playing for his team. After being treated by the medics on the sideline, Dante collapsed. Once being rushed to Birmingham Hospital, Dante went into theatre undergoing a critical operation. Severe internal bleeding meant they had to remove his spleen, and due to ongoing health conditions there have been multiple other complications.

Dante has sadly been kept in a medical induced coma since Sunday and won’t be woken up until he is in a stable condition, which we’re hoping will be in the coming days.

The last thing we want is for the family to worry about finances after this traumatic life event. Dante works long hours in a bar to support himself and his family, and will obviously not be able to go back until he makes a full recovery. He is kindly being supported by his employers to make sure that him and his family get the core support they need, but any other money we can raise for them would be appreciated to contribute to train fares, taxis, food etc.

The family have never asked for anything, we are doing this to support one of our closest friends, making sure him and his family live securely for the few long months ahead in which their only focus will be making sure Dante makes a full recovery.
