Hi I am Bee and Chloe is my best friend (more like sister) of 28 years.

If you know Chloe, you'll know she is one of the kindest, strongest and most selfless people you could ever meet. She is just 31 years old, mum to two beautiful little boys – Freddie (6) and Archie (1) – and in just two weeks she is due to marry the love of her life, Lanny.

This should be one of the happiest times of their lives.

Instead, everything changed with a breast cancer diagnosis.

Chloe has been diagnosed with bilateral triple-negative breast cancer, meaning cancer has been found in both breasts. Thankfully, current scans show it has not spread to any other part of her body, although one lymph node is still being investigated.

Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer. Unlike many other types, it does not respond to hormone therapy, meaning treatment options are more limited. Because of this, surgery is not the first step. Chloe now faces at least six months of intensive chemotherapy, followed by surgery and immunotherapy.

Many people hear the word "cancer" and assume it can simply be removed with surgery. Sadly, that isn't the reality for every diagnosis. The treatment itself is long, physically and emotionally exhausting, bringing months of hospital appointments, side effects, uncertainty and recovery.

As if the diagnosis wasn't devastating enough, Chloe and Lanny have also had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel their honeymoon. Instead of looking forward to their future together, they are preparing for chemotherapy.

Cancer doesn't just affect the person diagnosed – it affects the whole family.

Lanny has already had to take time away from work to support Chloe through appointments, scans and the overwhelming reality of this diagnosis. He is her biggest source of comfort, her safe place and the person who helps calm her anxiety. Being by her side is exactly where he wants to be, but unfortunately, if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid.

Chloe is currently on maternity leave with Archie, so their income is already reduced. As treatment begins, there will inevitably be more days when Chloe is too unwell to manage without support, more hospital appointments, more time away from work for Lanny, and countless unexpected costs that cancer brings.

This fundraiser isn't about paying for treatment – the NHS will provide that. It's about easing the financial pressure so Chloe and Lanny can focus on what truly matters: getting Chloe through treatment, spending precious time together as a family, and creating as many happy memories as possible with Freddie and Archie.

One of the hardest things Chloe is trying to come to terms with is losing her hair. To some people it may seem like "just hair", but to anyone going through chemotherapy it represents so much more. It is part of your identity, your confidence and the person you see looking back at you in the mirror. Freddie loves to play with his mummy's hair, making the thought of losing it even more heartbreaking. There are wigs and other hair options available that can help restore some confidence during treatment, but they can be expensive at a time when finances are already stretched.

Knowing Chloe, she will probably hate that this page even exists. She would never ask anyone for help. But those of us who love her know how many people want to support this beautiful family through the months ahead.
