On August 16th, Brandon was climbing in the Maroon Bells when he suffered a devastating fall of approximately 500 feet.
While Brandon has sustained serious, life-changing injuries and has a long road to recovery ahead, we are incredibly grateful that he is going to be okay.
Following the accident, Brandon was rescued by helicopter and transferred to Denver by plane, where he is receiving extensive medical care and will undergo multiple surgeries. Brandon fractured his lower leg, arm, nose, cheek, and ribs. He sustained a pneumothorax in his lung. His most consequential injury is his knee dislocation. It is a very serious and complex injury. Recovery will be a marathon with multiple stages and many surgeries. All things considered, though, Brandon is doing well. He is being himself and demonstrating incredible resilience as he navigates his recovery.
As you can imagine, the medical expenses are overwhelming, and his injuries will likely leave him unable to work while he focuses on healing and rehabilitation.
We are asking our friends, family, and community to rally around Brandon during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden of medical bills and time away from work, allowing Brandon to put his energy towards healing.
We love you Brandon!
