❤️ Dear family, friends, and loving supporters, With hearts full of emotion, we’re reaching out to share the story of our newborn son, Damien, and ask for your support during this unexpected journey. Damien was born at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where doctors initially suspected he had several serious heart conditions. But after further testing, we received a huge blessing — he has been cleared from coarctation of the aorta and PDA (patent ductus arteriosus). We are so grateful for that news.

 However, our journey is far from over. Damien has been diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition called Arterial Tortuosity Syndrome (ATS). This affects the shape and flexibility of his arteries, including those in his heart and throughout his body. It’s a lifelong condition that requires ongoing, specialized care, including advanced imaging, possible interventions, and frequent follow-ups with a team of pediatric cardiologists and genetic specialists. We’re doing everything we can to stay strong, especially for Tania as she recovers from her C-section, and for Damien as he begins his brave little fight. But we’re also facing mounting medical expenses, extended time away from home, and the costs of staying near the hospital to be close to him.
