Help Us Support a Devoted Mum in the Fight of Her Life
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Raewyn, and I’ve created this GoFundMe to support someone incredibly close to my heart—my dear friend Pav—who is facing the battle of her life.
This is not something I ever imagined having to write, but I’m reaching out on behalf of someone who has always given so much to others and now needs our help more than ever.
My beautiful friend Pav has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It’s the kind of news that stops you in your tracks. She’s only 54, and for those lucky enough to know her, you’ll know she’s one of the warmest, most generous, and fun-loving people around. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room, is always up for a laugh, and never hesitates to put others before herself.
She’s also a devoted single mum, and her daughter Izzy is her whole world. Their relationship is something special—they’re more like best mates than anything else, and they’ve supported each other through thick and thin.
Last year was already incredibly challenging for Pav. Her marriage ended, she had to move house, and she was starting from scratch—trying to rebuild her life. Just as she began to find her feet again, this devastating diagnosis came out of nowhere.
But if there’s one thing we know about Pav, it’s that she’s a fighter. With the unwavering support of her close friend Andrea, they’ve spent countless hours researching innovative treatments—both here in Australia and overseas. After exploring every possible option, they discovered a promising treatment available in Germany that specifically targets her type of cancer. Sadly, this treatment is not offered in Australia for her diagnosis. And while it gives real hope, it comes with a significant challenge—it’s not covered by insurance, and the financial burden is immense.
She needs to be in Germany in just three weeks to begin treatment and we’re trying to do everything we can to help ease the pressure so she can focus on what really matters: her health, her daughter, and giving herself the best possible chance.
Pav would never ask for help herself—but I know that if roles were reversed, she would be the first to step up.
If you can help by donating, sharing this page, or simply sending love and support, it would mean the world. Every bit truly makes a difference.
Thanks so much for reading Pav's story and for being part of her support crew. Let's rally behind her and remind he she's not facing this alone.
With love and gratitude,
Raewyn
