Help fund an experienced Brazilian student activist's trip across the country to exchange lessons with student organizers on the frontlines of the fight for Palestine, free speech, and public education.

Bruno Zaidan, a national leader of Juntos, the dynamic youth movement affiliated with MES-PSOL (Brazil), will be touring colleges across the United States between 3/20-4/8, in particular those with activists thinking intensively about how to build dynamic struggles against austerity, the genocide in Gaza, and political repression on their campuses. The purpose of Bruno’s trip is therefore to facilitate an in-depth exchange about student organizing with those best positioned to make use of the lessons he’s bringing over from Brazil.

To say a few words about why this opportunity is really special: Brazil and Argentina have the most dynamic and experienced student movements in the world. Specifically the youth group Bruno is a part of has led many successful struggles to increase financial aid for vulnerable students, implement racial and gender quotas in college admissions, prevent increases in dining hall fees, and win various other reforms that make it easier for students to not only get into but also remain and succeed at college. Beyond reforms, the struggles they’ve built have helped train up a sizable layer of activists, some of whom have become committed party-builders as well.
