My roommate and I are facing eviction after a series of setbacks that have left us struggling to keep our home. When my roommate lost his job, we did everything we could to stay afloat, but after more than two months without work, we fell behind in rent. We reached out to the state for help, but our application was refused, and now our eviction court date is set for May 8th. The fear of losing our home and facing homelessness is overwhelming, and we are running out of options.

Staying in our home would mean everything to us. We love where we live and have built a supportive community here. It took a long time to find a place where I feel I belong and have the will to love life again. The thought of losing our home after all our hard work is terrifying, and we are doing everything we can to hold on to the life we’ve built.
