My mother and I have been struggling to stay warm in our home because we don’t have proper heat. We simply can’t afford to buy heating units, and although several programs have promised to help us, nothing has ever been done. Each winter gets harder, and it’s been discouraging to wait for help that never seems to come. Times are hard, and we need help for proper heating systems.

My mother is 83 years old and has ongoing health problems. The cold in our house makes it even more difficult for her to stay comfortable and safe. I worry about her every day, knowing that warmth is so important for her health. We do everything we can to keep warm, but it’s just not enough, and the stress of not knowing when things will get better has been overwhelming.
