For the past seven years, I have been fighting chronic wounds on my right leg. Despite countless treatments and efforts, my condition has reached a point where I need to have my right leg amputated below the knee. This is a life-changing event, and while it comes with many challenges, my top priority is to continue caring for my 9-year-old daughter and providing for our family.

One of the biggest hurdles I face is maintaining our independence. I need to be able to drive so I can get to work and make sure my daughter can participate in her activities. To do this, I need adaptive equipment installed in my car. This equipment will allow me to safely drive and keep our lives as normal as possible during this transition.
