My son and I have been doing our best to get by since his dad passed away in 2020. I was working two part-time jobs to make ends meet, and when I was offered a promotion to full-time at one of them, I thought things would finally get easier. Unfortunately, the training for the promotion took two months, and then my pay increase was delayed for another two months. During this time, I fell behind on rent, and my landlord has taken me to court for eviction three times in just two months. Each time, more court costs, lawyer fees, and late fees have been added to what I owe, making it impossible to catch up.

I am facing eviction this Friday, and I am terrified of what will happen to my son and me if we lose our home. The stress and debt have become overwhelming, and I have tried everything I can think of to get help, including applying for loans and assistance programs, but nothing has worked. I am reaching out now because I truly have nowhere else to turn.
